Mark Rolston, former chief creative officer at frog, founded argodesign to focus on the most relevant and challenging design problems today. The company is known for its blended “cash plus equity” partnerships with startup companies, as well as its concept design work that keeps the studio sharp and engaged. 

The Journal story featured argodesign as one of several creative studios pursuing cash-plus-equity service agreements, speculating that as venture capital contracts, equity arrangements will lose their appeal. argodesign told the Journal that they remained optimistic about the prospects of their design portfolio, which includes traditional cash clients as well as blended partnerships.
